<br><br>Yes, having looked at the code, you are quite right. The code is smart
<br>enough to adjust all the deadline dates forward (or back), by the
<br>amount specified. However the task status fields are left as is, that
<br>is just copied straight across.
<br><br>I seem to remember it's a compromise design choice: Which ever way
<br>it's configured, not everyone will like it!
<br><br>I think it would be reasonably straightforward for you to adjust the
<br>code to make all cloned tasks as 'new'. I can point you in that
<br>direction if you wish.

<br>then you can always make them 'private users'.

<br><br>In config the setup shows <b>define('FILE_BASE', '/subdomains/collab/httpdocs/uploadfiles' );</b><br><br>which I find correct; also, directory /uploadfiles exists and is writable
<br><br>however when we attempt file uploads the configuration error below appears
<br><br>"The upload directory does not have write permissions set properly, or the directory does not exist. File upload has not been accepted."

</div><br><br>My guess is that the multiple file uploads code is not working. Initially the file(s) are uploaded to a temporary system directory. It appears that when WebCollab checks for file(s) in this system directory there is nothing there.
<br><br>However the system works for single file uploads (WebCollab 2.10a).

<br><br>Yes, there has been no Italian translator for a while. I would greatly appreciate having the Italian translation brought up to date.
<br><br>The translation files are in the Sourceforge SVN (which can be accessed from the Sourceforge page). The language files are in the webcollab/lang directory for files in ISO-8859-1 character set and webcollab-utf8 for UTF-8 character set. The Italian files are prefixed 'it_'.
<br><br>You can work with the ISO-8859-1 character set or the UTF-8 character set. I can convert between them with 'iconv'.
<br><br>There is also a 'README' file in the same directory that should help. I am always happy to help with questions you may have. My email address is in all the program files.

<br><br>For English, you need to edit the file [webcollab]/lang/en_email.php. This file contains the text strings that sent out with the email. The text string you want is near the bottom of the file.
<br><br>The first two letters of the file name are the ISO 639 language code. So 'en' is English, but if you wanted Spanish ('es'), the file you want is actually want is [webcollab]/lang/es_email.php.

<br><br>Your question is very interesting - it's actually a 5 year old bug! No one - including me - seems to have noticed this before.
<br><br>The database field for 'notes' in the 'contacts' table is set to 100 characters ('VARCHAR(100)'), when it should really be 'TEXT'. You can use a program such as phpmyadmin to change the field from VARCHAR(100) to TEXT, or you can use SQL commands from a commandline ('ALTER TABLE contacts MODIFY notes TEXT').

<br><br>This release has a number of minor bugfixes for problems in WebCollab 2.10a, and updated translations. The Esperanto language has also been added.
<br><br>The UTF-8 version is now more closely aligned with the standard version to make maintaining the code easier. The Sourceforge demo site has been running the UTF-8 version now for several weeks, since Sourceforge finally enabled the necessary mb_strings library in their PHP load.
