What does pianoteq mean by multicore rendering?I've been playing with pianoteq, which now has a version for linux,
which works very well. I was wondering what they mean in their preferences by multicore rendering. Since this is a physical model, I would think it is the worst possible case for parallel processing, since internal calculations cannot be parallelized. Is what they do simply spreading note instances across cores? Re: What does pianoteq mean by multicore rendering? There are two possible reasons IMHO:
1. Note-level multiprocessing 2. They are using a model that has parallel possibilities, and I think there are some around.
