Hi all,

The refresh option (when you right click on a desktop), what does it do? Does it really increase the speed?

Whenever we are stuck we started refreshing it. That must invoke yet another process and increase the load on the CPU.

What happens behind the scene? How does it work?

Thanks & regards

ST

refresh 'repaints the screen' .
it draws the relevant icons, background image etc.

example, you delete one icon, there is an empty space on desktop. after
refresh, icons are rearranged.

It may renews (the image that is shown on a display screen) by a renewal of
the flow of electrons that come from the cathode-ray tube. It also means maintaining ( data present in DRAM) by means of sending a new electric pulse in
order to recharge the chips.
