I'm using the latest Mono 2.4.x release on Snow Leopard with no
problems. In fact, what broke for me was multi-threaded Python apps
whether I use Apple's shipping Python interpreter or the one from
MacPorts. Very disappointing.
But then it's one more reason to use Mono. :-)
Under Mono, I have used simple threading (lock with a generic queue)
to parallelize a test suite on my quad core Intel i7 to achieve a nice
speedup with little effort.
