Which is deprecated: PHPUnit or Solar_Test?

Hello,
Looking through the Solar source code I noticed there are unit tests  
written with two different systems (PHPUnit/Solar_Test).

Has a decision been made which unit testing framework will be  
supported/used in Solar core?

To the chagrin of some, Solar_Test is the supported one.  The PHPUnit  
tests are on their way out.
