Which of these cpu's is gnubg likely to run best on?

I was reading the following article about the latest Intel chips

I was initially thinking of getting the i7 975 chip but reading this article has confused me.

Can any of you guys in the development team take a guess at which chip is likely to give me the best performance with gnubg?
