Who is in charge of the lmms WIKI?

I have written several articles, but the wiki has not been updated for months. I would write more articles and tutorials, but if noting is updated - i wont, because that would just be silly, wouldent it?!
-Also , someone with insight in technical depth would be apreciated in the LMMS forum.

Some of the questions in the Bugs subforum need devellopers attention.

What do you mean it hasn't been updated in months?!
If you have articles to write, don't be shy and write them.

BTW big thanks to all the people working for the Wiki! It's really getting a
useful source for information and helps lots of people to get started with
LMMS.

Kevin, are you in charge of the wiki?
-the link you provide, Kevin -is to the "recent changes" page. Not the "public online wiki”.
All changes should show up in the "real wiki" -eg here
real wiki
and the pages linked on this page.
But all does not.
I think i all in all wrote or rewrote (rather extended -Diddent delete a comma) on around 50 pages.
but many of my edits are not in the "public online wiki”, only in the change-log.
Perhaps there is some glitz in the update mechanism?

No I'm not in charge of the wiki, but I'm the most active editor since quite a while.

Huh? What are you talking about? What "real wiki"?
There's only one wiki as far as I know.

The link I provided (in the email) is the same link you'd get by going to the main page, and clicking on "Recent Changes" (on the left).
That's where the log of all edits resides and it's done automatically by Mediawiki and I really don't see how and why there would be a glitz.

Now what I don't get is what is this so called "public online wiki"? And what change-log are you talking about?
All of your saved contributions should appear in the "Recent Changes" page. (that's the link I provided). From what I can see, you've made an edit today, another on January 17th, and a bunch of older ones too.

What's the problem?

apparently i have difficulties in explaining.. or something.. like that -
But - i will provide an example:
Open the page
http://lmms.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?title=0.4:Working_with_Samples
Scroll down to the section: "Samples as sounds"

This section says:
<Q
A sample treated just as a sound means that you want to play the sample back at exactly the same pitch and speed it .. [cut]
q>

I extended that back in april to:

A sample is a pre-recorded soundfile. Samples can be used in LMMS in very creative ways, when they are loaded to the AudioFileProcessor Plugin. The reason is that the AudioFileProcessor has all the trimmings you find on the standard LMMS instrument! If you spend some time and experiment, LMMS can produce sounds for very different purposes, definitely not just for music, but effect sound for games, homepages, ringtones for your mobile phone and more. You will also be able to produce Azid-sounds known from trance and electronica. The tip here is to play with filters and resonance, and then ad an automation track in your project. For samples that you like to play just as they are recorded, like vocals of a song, the Sample-Track is the right choice.

A sample treated just as a sound means that you.....

...aso.

-and also added several other paragraphs to the rest of that article.
Those edits are in the change-log, but not in the wiki, as you can see. That is only one example. I think some 60% of my contributions has been added, the rest is not.
Thats why i thought there could be a fault in update process.

That's very odd.

There's no 'update' or approval process - you write the words, they appear on
the wiki.  So your changes should show up immediately.

That said we've had a few people that have been 'helpfully' converting pages
over to Portuguese and other languages, before Octosquidopus went through and
unified the language translations.  So your edits might have been overwritten
by someone else.

Either way, there's no person 'in charge' of the Wiki.  I wrote a fair bit of
it a long while ago and I keep an eye on it but building an electric motorbike
and other projects now take up much of the time I'd like to devote to LMMS.
So feel free to improve it and expand things as needed.  If you're more
familiar with a language other than English, improving the translations is a
huge help too!  Musikbear and Octosquidopus have put in a lot of work more
recently, but everyone can help out there.

If you want to upload pictures to my web server (which is where most of the
example graphics are currently stored), then let me know and I can give you a
WebDAV login.

Have fun,

Paul

Thank you Poul for explaining -really apreciated.

I would apreciate that. I would then make a page with graphics that could be used in genral. -It would be the 0.4.6 WINDOWS version -I hope its GUI is not very different from the Linux-version of 0.4.6?
But if you will let me have a logon to your server, that would be very nice.
It will definately be best to send it through the personal message /IM service.
Perhaps a small 'how to use' text is needed :)
I have not logged on to a server with WebDAV before.
But thank you. Nice to learn that my updates are apreciated

Hope this helped
