Hi,

The WifiPotterExample has returned "0 Aps were seen". I use Ubuntu and my wifi card is "Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection". Sould I do anything else?. Is it a problem with my wifi driver? How could I resolve it?.

My best Regards

Pablo

Hi Pablo,

The intel chipset from what i can remember is not that good for this.
There is documentation in one of the papers on the place lab website
about which wireless chipsets are best if i remember correctly.

Pablo,

The Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG worked for me when running XP.  However it did need some tweaking.  I don't know about Ubuntu, but on XP the Placelab NDIS network protocol driver had to be installed before the spotter would work.  Instructions on its installation in windows can be found here.

I also edited the apviewer and mapdemo example to get them to run on campus.  Simplest way of demonstrating its operation.

I hope it gives you less headaches than it gave me.
