For one month you can download a new Windows version of GRAMPS
3.0.3-1 at http://drop.io/wingramps The password is gramps

The password was done solely to try and restrict current distribution
to readers of this email distribution list.

I have done some testing and it seems fine, but use at your own risk.
I recommend backing up your data before loading it.

Obviously I don't support the GRAMPS functionality but if the
installation has a problem let me know. In fact, I would appreciate
an email from everyone testing it so that I can get a feel for the
size of the tester community. Thanks.

Hi Ed,

I gave the installer a spin.
I trialled on both Windows 2000 and Windows XP

Installer works fine, .. it creates start menu options and creates an
uninstaller.

Import of a 110 person data base works fine, .. I ran a couple of
reports, and relationship calculator, checked license and credits show.

Uninstall of application also works fine.

I think you can confidently pass the installer link to Stephane in
gramps-devel for addition to source forge download area with confidence
any remaining problems are outside the installer and within gramps itself.

Well done and Thank-you
Steve

Hi,
you did a well job: I did my trials using WinXP and found no problem.
Tested:
- new installation from the scretch (using a Virtual Machine)
- deinstallation
- importing a lager Gramps-XML-BackUp-File (nearby 450 people)
    some related views
    some related reports

The only bad thing is, the description for all necessary parts for an image output or an RTF output of a report. In my main system this works (I did some month ago the right installations) - but in my VM this doesn't work for the moment. But I'm sure it's a problem other of missing installations (ghost, ...)

Best regards
Helge
