Won't Start

I was given a YS624. It looks like a great machine. I have been trying to get it running with no luck. I have good spark. It is getting gas into engine. When I pull on the cord it seems to be blowing out through the carb. It has never started for me yet. Any ideas would be appreciated.

you mite want the check to see if the valves are working, soulds like one mite be stuck shut

It is a GREAT machine.
 Sounds like it is flooding. Is the float stuck in the carb?
 Have you tried to spray some "quick start" directly in the carb to see if it fires?
 If it does, its a fuel issue. Get or clean the carb.
 If it needs cleaning post here, and ill tell you how to clean it, and what i use (easy).

I did a little more research and found that the previous owner had used 2 cycle oil mixed with the gas. I drained and flushed the tank. After putting in new gas and replacing the plug she fired off like the champ it is. I can not believe my luck this unit is like new. Except for the auger there is not even a scratch in the paint or any rust.

Post a photo when you get a chance. And change the oil and ad some fuel stabilizer like Seafoam if you have not already. Great diagnosis. What a find!

What valve's get stuck in fuel system.I have this blower,and im getting gas to that little block mounted to air cleaner box but no further??If I spray gas in carb it run's great?

do you have compression . it sounds like your intake valve my be stuck open.spray some pennatrating oil throw the carb while pulling engine over. let set 15 mins. If its still stuck remove cylinder head and tap lightly on the center of intake valve if valve won't move turn engine over slowly while tapping valve. Do you live close to anchorage ak .
