Stumbled on this today, http://wordle.net/

It generates a very attractive "word cloud" based on the frequency of words in a source document.

I ran the Fluid Web site through it, and the wiki. Interesting results.

I think this is mostly just a toy, but I do wonder if it is an interesting way of evaluating site content.

A totally tangential question:

Is there any research or expert opinion that speaks to how effective
tag clouds are?

I have seen them and tried to use them in blogs and wiki's, but have
yet to find them useful (or compelling after the initial curiosity
wears off).

That said, these are probably the most attractive tags clouds I have
come across.

Apparently I'm quite popular on the wiki. :)
Must be all those testing tasks.
