hi,

my cdrom is a kind of cached drive.  i heard
cdparanoia is not safe on the class of cdroms.  so i wanna ask, what do
i do?  does the cdda2wav help?

on the other hand, i still has anotehr CDROM ( actually a DVD writer ),
it's a ASUS DRW-1608P2S . where can i get know wheter this drive is
cached or not?  since i am not equiped with a Windows , so i can not
run EAC to make sure of it.

thanks.

Have you tried to run EAC under WINE? I have not, but see e.g.

thanks, Nils.  but by far, i don't want to touch wine for some reasons
and still look for a native solution.

To quote Monty from http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=108647&cid=9244774

These days computers have more than 8 meg, it's probably worth doing ;-)

This still hasn't happened though. I think I've tried grepping the
source for the constant, but I don't remember finding anything.
