http://www.flowchartwiki.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

It may even help regulars to see where extra pages or links should go
so as to improve the usability of the wiki.

Come to think of it the Wiki is now a part of the K-3D application, so
Joe may wish to look at how usable it is for team of ninja 3D testers.

I'm setting up a home wiki at the moment and have been looking through
here, http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_Matrix I'll post any
others that may be relevant to K-3D.

This function, or a similar one, would be ideal for hooking tutorial
video into wiki pages.

>From what I can see, our graphviz extension can handle this case - you
can see examples at

http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/Reporting_Bugs
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/Visualization_Pipeline
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/User:Tshead/Map

... from that last one, you can see that I was experimenting with the
idea of creating a "mind map" for developers.

Agreed - we never really firmed-up how to create / publish screencasts
after our last round of experiments.  I found that recording them on my
Linux box at the time was pretty fiddly, any recommendations on a good
tool?  Also, how do resolution issues play-out on GoogleVideo / YouTube
/ whatever?

Cheers,
Tim

To encourage contributions to the wiki it may be an advantage to have
this installed and active by default.

FCKeditor extension enables a more intuitive WYSIWYG editor when
editing pages on a MediaWiki-based site.

My experience on the subject:

The only tool i found reliable is ffmpeg
http://www.misterhowto.com/index.php?category=Computers&subcategory=Video&article=make_a_screencast_with_linux
http://celestinestudios.com/k3d/joaquinduo/ffmpeg/

About resolution issues i haven't found any, although i think the best
size is about 800*600, bigger sizes will render too small icons and so
on. Also having a youtube/google video is a good bait in order to
convince the user to download the high resolution version.

I prefer youtube since it has many users, on my channel i already have
12 subcribers. Thats a lot compared to the videos I uploaded to google
video.
http://www.youtube.com/K3DTutorials

If you upload to youtube i can redirect from there. Or i can give you
the account password to upload directly if you like.

Cheers!
