FILM APPRECIATION FOR THE YOUNG

The workshop is intended for high school, college students and young professionals (ages 13 to 30 years old). Participants will learn to “read” films and be able to write about films in the form of reviews, blog-entries, school papers, feature articles. They will learn to do a personal rating of a movie and articulate why the movie sings, sinks in deep, or sucks. Exposure to world cinema (both shorts and full-length) and film gems is a plus.
The Resource Person:
Patrick F. Campos is a faculty member of the UP Film Institute, a writer, and a film/literary scholar. He is also a filmmaker and musician.
