XBean project closing down

As most of you know this project is getting slurped into Geronimo
(sorry for the late notice Bob).  The IP donation was accepted by
Geronimo and I have started the process to import the code into
Geronimo.  I have also removed all commit rights so you'll have to
wait until the import is done to commit (assuming you are a Geronimo
committer).  Since we only have 8 Jira issues, I'll just copy them
over by hand.  Also, we'll just use the main geronimo mailing lists
since we have hardly any posts.  Finally, I'll to migrate the web
content over the the outboard Geronimo confluence site over the next
few weeks.

When everything is done, I'll notify you, Bob, and you can run the
project through the shredder :)

On behalf of everyone in the XBean project, I'd like to thank you,
Bob, for giving us a room in your haus.

Hi there,

I was following this project because I was interested in the simplification of Spring configuration files. From your post I guess there won't be any way to access this functionality without downloading the full Geronimo server... or will this be mantained as a separate project?

Thanks, best regards
Jose

I have the same concern.  IIUC, it will be in a jar all its own that will have its current dependencies and no more.

Alan
