Hi,

is there anybody out there who has experience with xml rpc api of
scarab? Is it possible to change the character encoding of the xml rpc
interface?

My current installation is the following: An application connects to
scarab via xml-rpc, and gets a vector of string objects back. Some of
these strings have special characters like "§" and/or German umlauts.
These characters are all represented by the unicode character FFFD.
XmlRpc as used in Scarab seems to use standard ASCII encoding and FFFD
is the wildcard for invalid characters. Is it possible to change the
encoding to another character set?
