Xorg Fails to start.Hi,
I'm unable to get Xorg to start any more on my computer since about three, or four snapshots ago. I'm not desperate for a GUI, but it would be nice. Fails whether machdep.allowaperture is set to 1, or 2. dmesg, /etc/X11/xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log outputs follow. machdep.allowaperture set to 2. So normally in /var/log/Xorg.0.log there is a dump of all pci devices found. When no PCI devices are listed, it mean that it failed to probe the PCI bus. And the most probable cause for that is a missing /dev/pci entries. (and having spent lots of time working on this code helps too of course :-). -- Matthieu Herrb |
