Xrun Clean

Absolute beginner talk...
Some times, something crash, or rosegarden, or fluidsynth., or zynna, or
jackd ...
I try to set the most stable to jack, when i open the rosegarden i have
some hiccups,  not much , hmmm about 3xruns, after the crach. I close
all application.
I Wait some seconds, and try again, but jack get much xruns then, i need
reboot to clean all xruns and hiccups.
I want to know, if have some way to clean this, instead reset pc ...
it's much bored restart always when have some crash.

Hi
Increase the "frames per period" of jackd (parameter -p)
Set it to 3072 or 2048 or 1024
For "buffers" choose a value of 2 or 3 (parameter -n)

Note: This also increases the latency-time.

If you need really low latency, you should use a dedicated linux
distribution (with audio optimisation):

Hi, I'm a beginner too, but your replay sounds nice also for my problem: in this forum I've written a topic (help puredata + rosegarden) and perhaps my problem is similar to this. Could you help me with some advice please?
