YT3600

 I recently had a YT3600 given to me but it will not start I can turn it over just fine by the crank but the starter motor will not turn it over when I hit the key switch I can see the gear on the starter mesh with the flywheel but only if i jump the solinoid. Does anyone have any suggestions or is this machine simply not worth it

Sounds like you might have a bad switch, or wire going to/from the switch. Make sure all your wiring is connected well, with no corrosion, and make sure the battery is charged up and the ground wire has
a good solid connection to the frame. That's where to start.
