Welcome back. Did you bring back any perspective on the latest snowblower technology?  Are twin hydros with electric motors coming for the track drives?  See anything new?

Apparently the word is the guys at Honda pretty much sell out of snowblowers every year, and the boys in blue want a piece of that action, seeing as to how they already know how to build a great snowblower its all going to come to price point. Yamaha will need a really sharp pencil to play here. I think it will happen.
I will post as soon as I have more info......stay tuned !

In my neck of the woods a lot of the Yamaha dealers also sell Honda.  At these dealers (Honda/Yamaha) I don't see any incentive for the dealer to double the costs (showroom floor space, inventory, parts, service, advertising).  And selling a Honda snowblower that is sitting next to a Yamaha could be tricky.  It would be easy to confuse the customer.

So that leaves you with a network of dedicated Yamaha dealers (sans Honda).  I don't know how many of these exist.
Are 50% of Yamaha dealers exclusively Yamaha? As you said, Honda dealers in my area never have any trouble selling their inventory.

All yamaha dealers in my area are exclusively yamaha.

I think Yamaha could require this of it's dealers if it so desired.  After all, why support a dealer which is also catering to your most direct competition?

Well if you want to see them back feel free to call Yamaha-motor Canada and tell them.1-416-498-1911 and ask for Customer Service and put in your request, every little bit of encouragement will help.

Having different manufactures products in your show room happens all the time. I have seen Stihl, echo and redmax in one showroom. I have seen Exmark, Scagg and Hustler in one showroom. I have seen Kubota, Ford/New Holland in one show room. For the Salesman, I think this works out well as there is no reason to shop elsewhere

The Yamaha dealership here in Grand Rapids, MI just closed their doors a month ago. So now I have to get parts online for my YS624, almost or just as easy.

I did talk to the guys at the local Honda dealership and they said they are trying to get Yamaha and Kawasaki's at their location, they already have Honda and Suzuki. But they only get 3 or 4 2-stage and 6-8 single stage Honda blowers per winter season. I usually see a couple of each in the spring on clearance out front of their store. I do hope that they get the Yamaha brand and offer snowblowers when they come out next year.

I stopped in the my local Yamaha dealer and asked about the possiblity if the Yamaha Snow Blowers would be coming to the USA.  They didn't know of it yet, but would be checking on it.  My Y624T is starting to burn blue smoke so that means the rings are starting to go, so I would like to buy a new Yamaha snow blower when they come back here.  I  told them to put me on the top of their list on buyers for the snow blower.
