Yamaha Virago 750

I am getting a high pitch screeching noise from the engine when i revv up the engine, both in gear or neutral. Does anyone know if this is a crankshaft bearing gone bad.

Check to see of you are getting oil to the camshaft bearings by losening the oil line nut just a little on both cylinders one at a time. You should get some oil seapage almost immediately. If you don't get oil coming out, find out why. Check your oil level. Also, you can use a long screwdriver, place it to your ear and to the engine in several places to try and localize the problem.
