Re: Yet another beta Flash pano playerThat is great Thomas! I have never seen a flash based viewer that displays at 600x420 and there is also no vertical banding as with some of the other flash viewers. Any plans to integrate this in Pano2QTVR?

Re: Re: Yet another beta Flash pano playerAndrew,
We have seen the Flash8!-Player before at Immervision last year and the list can't use it. Over weekend present Thomas us a new Flash8!-Player. It's great. I'm so happy. On my 2 GHz PC it is very fast, the big version too. A lot of thanks to Thomas. Re: Yet another beta Flash pano playerHi Thomas,
Nice work! :-) I can see a some distortions, Which 3D object do you use to project the images? Maybe a cube? If it's true, you can try to use a sphere. Flash8 uses an image deformation method without perspective correction . With a sphere all polygons in the panorama are always perpendicular to the camera, and distortions are very small. In the future, maybe you can save a SWF file directly from pano2qtvr. In Adobe site you can find a PDF document about SWF format. best regards fiero --- In PanoToolsNG@..., Thomas Rauscher <yahoo@...> wrote: > > Hello, > > I played a "little" bit with Flash 8... and here you can see the > outcome: http://www.pano2qtvr.com/sample_flash.php > > Pano: > - Minimum requirements: Flash 8 > - Window size: 600x420 > - Pano: 6 tiles with 1000x1000 > > Object: > - Minimal configuration: Flash 6 > - Window size: 256x256 > - 312 pre-rendered images > > MfG, > Thomas. > -- <*> Wiki: http://wiki.panotools.org/ <*> Gmane (news) nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.panotools.ng <*> Gmane (web) http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.panotools.ng <*> Nabble (web) http://www.nabble.com/PanoToolsNG-f15658.html <*> NG Member Map http://www.panomaps.com/ng/ Yahoo! Good Work! Pity about the (sometimes fairly signficant) distortion during playback though... FWIW my take on these things is this - use Flash to display a quickie cubic pano and then have a link to the mature full-screen player of your choice (QTVR, Pangea VR, Dealvr etc.) Regds - Andrew N. nemeng.com -- <*> Wiki: http://wiki.panotools.org/ <*> Gmane (news) nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.panotools.ng <*> Gmane (web) http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.panotools.ng <*> Nabble (web) http://www.nabble.com/PanoToolsNG-f15658.html <*> NG Member Map http://www.panomaps.com/ng/ Yahoo! Re: Yet another beta Flash pano playerHi Thomas,
Great work again. (Pano2QTVR is a massive time saver in my workflow, and produces fantastic quality.) I'm with Andrew on this one, the small Flash cubic VR is where it's at. They would be perfect for a preview at 100k or less, and up to a maximum window of about 400px wide. If you can improve the output a little for the small panos (ie not such a jump in quality between still and moving etc) then you're on a winner. Where can I pays my money? Oh, and as I've also mentioned before, the output pano file needs to be simple, a single .swf is the ultimate in simplicity if possible :) Thanks, Aaron. -- <*> Wiki: http://wiki.panotools.org/ <*> Gmane (news) nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.panotools.ng <*> Gmane (web) http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.panotools.ng <*> Nabble (web) http://www.nabble.com/PanoToolsNG-f15658.html <*> NG Member Map http://www.panomaps.com/ng/ Yahoo! Re: Yet another beta Flash pano playervery nice! Is the distortion of the bench due to the viewer mangling the
