Rallies in Nablus and Qalqilya call for action to defend Palestinian
prisoners
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Union of
Palestinian Women's Committees in Nablus held a rally outside the offices
of the International Committee of the Red Cross on October 22, 2009,
calling for freedom for imprisoned PFLP General Secretary, Comrade Ahmad
Sa'adat and marking the release of women prisoners. The rally delivered a
letter to the ICRC through a delegation, calling upon it to fulfill its
responsibility to protect prisoners' rights by acting to stop isolation,
abuse and mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners in the jails of the
occupation.
