Z39.50 import setting for encoding?

Dear all

I note that the example Z39.50 servers that load with Koha have been set to MARC-8 for the following preference:

"Encoding (z3950 can send records in various encodings. Choose one):"

Can anyone using Z39.50 import confirm whether this is the preferred setting, or should it be UTF8?
