Da sich bis dato noch keiner gefunden hat der prüft stehen die alle auf
"no".

Ist eine Prüfung erfolgt dann muss das Tag auf die Revision gesetzt werden
mit der die Prüfung erfolgt ist.

Improvement of german translation

Hello,

i would like to contribute to the improvement of the Zend Framework.

I am a php developer working with the Zend Framework for a few weeks now. When reading the german manual i often find spelling mistakes and some phrases are awkward that it is not easy to get the meaning of the sentance. Then i usually switch to the english manual an read on there. Ok, no problem, as i understand english very well. But then i thougt, that while reading the german manual, i also could try to improve it and thus make it more useful.

I sent my signed CLA today so it will probably take a few days till i get an affirmation.

Non j'ai bien reçu ton 1er mail. Il s'agit d'un des destinataires de la liste qui te renvoie ce genre d'erreurs.

Concernant ton problème, effectivement nous n'avons plus les documents non traduits. Tu peux accéder à ce site : http://mikaelkael.dyndns.org/checker/ et plus particulièrement à cette page http://mikaelkael.dyndns.org/checker/language/details/lang/fr pour voir ou en est la traduction.

En bas de page, tu as les fichiers non traduits, en faisant un "Get file", tu auras le dernier fichier anglais avec des entêtes particuliers (

Bonjour,

Cela fait un moment que je n'ai plus rien traduit pour le Zend Framework
en français et je n'avais plus les sources en local.
Là j'ai refait un checkout et dans le répertoire .../fr/module_specs, je
ne retrouve que les fichiers déjà traduits (en tout cas pour
Zend_Search_Lucene).
Quelle est la procédure à présent ? Aller copier le fichier directement
depuis le dossier anglais dans le dossier français et commencer à traduire ?

Il me semble qu'avant, il y avait aussi les documents non traduits, non ?

The issue is specifically that if you have some forms with the following structure ( hopefully ascii formatting is preserved )

$_POST

|___[ 'element' ] // a sub-form name of element
|
|___[ 'element' ] // an element with the name element

now if $_POST['form'] corresponds to $form, and $_POST['form']['element'] corresponds to $form->getSubForm( 'element' ),

I understand that:

the sub-form needs to be able to validate off $_POST as well as $_POST['form']['element']

It uses the dissolveArray and belongsTo features to get at the array located at $_POST['parent_form']['child_form']

but the current implementation backfires, since the sub-form is an "isArray" form, the dissolveArrayValue() method does not work as intended,

when passing $_POST['form']['element'] the above array structure to isValid() method, the Zend_Form component "thinks" the array key in the $data array for the element ( which contains a string ) is actually $_POST['form']['element'] ( which is already assigned to $data within the scope of that method )

I checked

and it said " the master form object will have no awareness of the elements in sub forms. ", am I mis-understanding? Or is the documentation not to be taken literally or something?

My bad -- I'd forgotten about those templates. :)

At this point, it's not something we plan on doing, for the reason of
time. Currently building the API docs takes ~2 hours and utilizes a
tremendous amount of memory and CPU on our build machine; adding
additional formats is simply out of the question if we want to be
able to release in a timely manner. (As it is, I'm trying to find other
solutions to building the API docs and manual, as, combined, they take
up about 80% of the packaging time.)

Perhaps i got something wrong, but the website of phpDocumentor [1] states "comes with many customizations including 11 HTML templates, Windows help file CHM output, PDF output, and XML DocBook output", why can't this be used in this case?

It would be nice to have it official on framework.zend.com :)

There was an error in our deployment script, and I'm working on fixing
it today; I'll have the 1.9 API docs up there as soon as I can.

Looking here: http://framework.zend.com/docs/api it is still at 1.8.2.

We've since had framework releases 1.8.3 and 1.8.4 and now 1.9. I personally find the downloadable API useful and hope someone automates this (if possible) so it can keep up to date with code releases.

That'll work for now -- but once 1.9 is released, we'll need to
selectively merge to ensure docs for new features for 1.10 don't pollute
the 1.9 branch.

Hi,

Why not simply copy the documentation directory from trunk to branch
prior 1.9 release?

Manual corrections

Dear Yoshida,

please stop changing the german manual when you don't speak german.

Some of your "spelling" corrections made in past lead also to a correction
in translation, even if it's only one character, and in this case your
change of the revision number makes it impossible to see if something needs
to be modified.

Improve script in quickstart

Hi,

i am a little bit out of date with the framework. So i am played the
"Quickstart" - Tour and i found some mistakes in the code sample at page

Of course, this script is working correctly, but i sure, that we should
improve the script a little bit.
I would improve this part alone, but i don't know how.

I have CLA and also i would help to translate this part into German.

Servus Kai,

das höre ich gerne :-)

Wenn dein CLA schon akzeptiert wurde solltest Du schon per SVN Zugriff auf
die Originaldateien haben. Sind XML Dateien im Docbook Format... muss man
aber nicht kennen.

Unter http://framework.zend.com/wiki/display/ZFDEV/German+%28Deutsch%29
findest Du (später dann) eine Liste der Dokumente die noch bearbeitet werden
müssen. Aktuell sind es alle... also einfach nicht wählerisch sein :-))

Die Originalübersetzung und die Aktualisierungen mache einstweilen ich.
Was wir auf alle Fälle brauchen ist die Korrektur aller bestehenden Texte.

Wenn ein Text korrigiert wurde, muß man das KorrekturFlag (ganz oben) auf
die Version setzen die mit der Übersetzung (Revision Flag) identisch ist.

Bei Fragen einfach hier melden oder am Abend über IRC unter ##zf.dev.

Due to a longer discussion in the german zf board i decided to help with
the german translation. I thought several times about contributing code
or translating the manual. So ist not just a scram, ill try to do my
best.

What tools do you use for creating documentation

Hello,

For our software we are currently busy with improving the documentation, we have been looking at the reference manual of Zend Framework as a good example, but were wondering which tools are used by the different contributors. We would like to know about the writer tools that are used since generation tools are pretty standardized.

We have been looking at oxygenxml, but it seems a little too much work (yes I am lazy ;)) to actually have to type in all the docbook tags while writing the documentation.

Does anybody have a good suggestion / recommendation on certain tools to create documentation in docbook format?
