Our daughter Clara was born on 25th April :)

No doubt she'll be using Debian in no time (well, in a couple of years,
anyway...).

We have some cute little CopyLeft t-shirts (thanks Cory and Alice for sending
them!) but they are still far too large for her, so photos of those will have to
wait a few months.

For those who don't know, my husband Javier Candeira and I first met through our
involvement with the Debian Women project, way back in its very early days.
Without Debian Women (and a host of other coincidences), Clara would not be here
today.  And we are very very happy that she is :)

Helen (and Javier).

for such a short release cycle, the outcome is quite cute!
I see you've already done some testing on its sound hardware, hope
everything else passes QA.
congrats,

Oh, hey. You named her with Spanish name conventions. Interesting.

Well, she's a Spaniard :)

That is to say, when we get around to registering her birth, she will have
Spanish and Australian citizenship.

Unfortunately, the naming conventions differ sufficiently that our children will
have ongoing hassles in Australia with systems that don't recognise names with
two surnames (as opposed to one double-barrelled surname, which is common
enough).  But we consider that less important than their right to have their two
surnames like all (or at least most) Spaniards do.

We've also chosen, very intentionally, a name that is pronounced nearly
identically in both languages.  It's a grand improvement on Javier (very hard
for native English speakers to pronounce even vaguely right), and Helen (not
quite so bad, but still, a slightly tricky one for Spanish speakers).

Helen

Well the main input and output systems are certainly working at full steam
already...
