access rights repairing of Front Row

Each time, I verify/repair the access rights of my hard disk (OSX
5.8), there are a lot of entries stating that the access rights of
"System/Library/CoreServices/Front Row.app/Contents/xxxxx" (where
xxxxx stands for files and folders) are incorrect.

The only thing is: I NEVER use Front row, and the above messages
appear, even if I check the access rights in a very small intervall.....

Is that a single phenomenon om my computer or somehow Apple's mistake?

i spent 30 seconds with Google and found that Apple says "You can safely
ignore these messages."

This I knew, I was just wondering what is the cause of those
messages...and why there's obviously no repairing of it

if you knew, why did you choose the unsafe route of not not ignoring the
messages? ( ;?> )

Google told me someone with 18000 posts at discusssion.apple.com said
"they are due to a typo in the last update which will no doubt be
corrected in the next one." and someone else with 39,783 posts said
"Apple changed the structure of those packages without updating the
repair permissions mechanism."

that's some serious karma, man, your question is *answered*!

Repair Permissions is a pretty weak system anyway; just because it spits
out a message doesn't mean there is something to fix; i'd say the
solution is to "Repair" less often ;?>
