We, the eGroupWare admins, want to offer a way out of the current
situation and the proposed vote.

Since Lars and Conny have renamed their effort to Tine, we are willing
to stand down with the vote, given that both projects agree on a few
basic rules about their relationship.  The term projects is used to show
equal respect to both efforts.

1. Neither project advertises or announces its current or future
features on the user mailing lists of the other project.  This rule is
common sense in the relationship of all open source projects.  We regard
all current nationally or lingually-centric eGroupWare lists as user
lists in addition to the standard -users list.

2. Technical matters such as innovations implemented in one project from
which the other might benefit or negotiating areas for cooperation are
welcome on the other projects developers list (not user lists).

3. No project makes public announcements or press releases, in which it
claims to be the future of the other project.

4. Members of either project may have the freedom to work in both, given
that freedom does not mean violating the above rules.  Project
membership will of course be handled independently within each project.

5. Both projects will strive toward a good and friendly working
relationship.

We think it's also necessary to clearly state consequences if the above
rules are violated.  If a violation occurs, we will:

- block the offending email address from the list
- if the block is somehow circumvented, we will regard that as an action
against the project and will act accordingly

We see this offer as a step towards each other and it is made in good faith.

Please state in public on behalf of the Tine project if you agree to
these rules about the relationship between our two projects.

Dear Admins!

It's getting boring!

Cornelius and I stated multiple times that we don't want to fork the
project. Also no other developer requested that we should get removed from
the project.

We also stated multiple times that we are working on a proof of concept for
the next major release of eGroupWare. We are working for eGroupWare. We are
no other project. We are part of the eGroupWare developer community.

Please stop acting against the project! We need to work together and not
against each other. This is not your project. You got elected by all
eGroupWare developers, so please start acting for all developers also.

If the eGroupWare developer community denies our proof of concept in the
near future, it makes of course sense to make Tine 2.0 a project of it's
own. And then your rules absolutely makes sense.

But currently there has been no fork and there is no other project. And it's
not the job of the admins to decide about any technical issues.

And I'm also very irritated that Ralf's is still acting as admin in this
case, as his acting in the past is also part of the current problem.

As wrote in the beginning, it's getting boring. Please state clearly why we
should not be members of this project anymore and why we don't have the
right to represent our technical ideas to the other developers and users of
our project anymore.
