aggregate functionsHi, Is there a reason why the “aggregate” functions might not
appear to be immediately loaded on installing PostGIS? I’m was looking for
ST_Extent in particular from which i realised the set are not shown on my
installation. My apologies is this is a basic question, i’m new to the
list and wasn’t sure of an easy way (apart from looking for matches from
google) to search the archives – any tips would be much appreciated! Many thanks in advance Andy _______________________________________________ postgis-users mailing list postgis-users@... http://postgis.refractions.net/mailman/listinfo/postgis-users |

Re: aggregate functionsHi Mark,
Thanks for the response, there seem to be a whole list of variables coming to light at my end. Is it possible the admin interface doesn't present aggregate functions even when they do exist? On our Windows server we have pgAdminIII v1.4.1 and I can see the "aggregate" functions as a category On a Linux server we have phpPgAdmin 4.2.2 which doesn't list the aggregate functions although they do work On a desktop computer here we have pgAdminIII v1.8.1 and there is no immediate sign of these although I will test a query shortly to see if the function is there but not listed I guess my question is whether this is normal and whether there's a way to list what is loaded? Thanks very much. Re: aggregate functionsHi,
Thanks Vincent - that worked on my desktop version of PostGIS, feeling a bit daft now. Will try the phpPgAdmin now... Thanks again and apologies Mark for not giving you all the details the first time round. Much appreciated Andy -----Original Message----- From: Picavet Vincent [mailto:Vincent.Picavet@...] Sent: 19 October 2009 14:16 To: andy@...; PostGIS Users Discussion Subject: RE: [postgis-users] aggregate functions Hello, > Thanks for the response, there seem to be a whole list of > variables coming to light at my end. > > Is it possible the admin interface doesn't present aggregate > functions even when they do exist? PgAdmin III does not show everything by default, especially types, aggregates, or system catalogs. Verify in pgadmin : File->preferences->display to ensure your aggregates should be displayed.
