what is the trick to removing the screws when the internal brass inserts just spin? I should have addressed this issue when I last changed my air filter< but, hind sight is 20/20. :-))

If the brass inserts just sit and spin, your just screwed.

Cut the screws or buy a new airbox (which is why most of the dealers
just sold new air boxes instead of replacing filters).

I had the same problem when I tried to modify a new airbox on my 900. I tried to drill the screw heads off but they tended to spin, overheat and melt the airbox! I eventually drilled all of the heads off and filled the holes with black silicone, but what a job!
