auto resizeI looked at the current TODO file from SVN and I noticed that auto
resize isn't on the list. I'd like to request that this be added at some point, please. :) Thanks for all your work on Kaffeine. When I first switched to Linux about two years ago I tried all the different media players I could find and Kaffeine was the only one that had everything I was looking for. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Register Now & Save for Velocity, the Web Performance & Operations Conference from O'Reilly Media. You mean adjusting the kaffeine window size to the video size (note the direction of the adjustment)? - because the other stuff is implemented (and therefore not in the todo). > Thanks for all your work on Kaffeine. Re: auto resizeYes, that's what I mean, sizing the window to the video size, and being
able to press (giving the KDE3 example) alt+0/alt+1/alt+2/alt+3 for off/original/double/triple size. In Kaffeine3 I usually leave it at original size so whenever I load a new video the window resizes itself. I also noticed last night when watching a video that mousewheel scrolling over the video to skip backward/forward doesn't seem to be implemented, nor on the todo. Thanks again, Steve Christoph Pfister wrote: > 2009/4/30 Steven Eastland <seastland@...>: > >> I looked at the current TODO file from SVN and I noticed that auto >> resize isn't on the list. Ok, made a notice of those two items; the resize-window-to-video feature may need phonon changes (and thus take a bit longer) - just curious: why do you need it? > Thanks again, > > Steve Thanks, Christoph ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Register Now & Save for Velocity, the Web Performance & Operations Conference from O'Reilly Media. Re: auto resizeThe only thing I really use is having the window auto-resize to the size
of the video when a new one loads, so if I have a playlist of videos with different sizes (e.g. a 4:3 tv show followed by a 16:9 one) the window resizes. I guess it's just behavior that I'm used to and it also looks good to me. As for the alt+1/2/3, I use that a lot less often, but occasionally I will come upon a really small video that is hard to see at normal size, but loses all its detail at full screen, so I'll use alt+2 to double it. I realize I could just use the mouse to make the window bigger and the video along with it; I just love to have my keyboard shortcuts for common actions like that.
