For simplicity i post the complete example of the /etc/network/
interfaces:

auto lo eth0

iface lo inet loopback

iface eth0 inet static
    address 192.168.150.10
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.150.1
    post-up ifconfig eth0 allmulti

It is not the one from my system, because I do some complex routing
niceties there (multiple VPN-Connections *sigh), but it should work.

the whitespace in front of the lines after the iface line are
importand, afaik.

Kristian

With what network card is this? It sounds like the driver isn't setting
up the multicast hash table correctly.
