this is weird indeed. I can't reproduce it on either Windows or
GNU/Linux, so I'd be happy if someone could investigate it further.

Does it help if you comment the font-related PostScript instructions?

As the output shows, this is again GS-related (as usual), but I don't know any more info. What is even stranger, a PDF is produced (attached), but it is incomplete.

Yet another reason to use Apple's pstopdf instead of Ghostscript in
Mac OSX builds.

Can you try and find what exactly in this snippet produces the bug? (I
strongly suspect that it's the embedded postscript code with the font
instructions.)

Of course: the lines

        /Times-Roman findfont
        2.0 scalefont
        setfont

cause the issue; if all of them are commented out, the file compiles.

Then I'm not sure there's much we can do on the LilyPond side; this
PostScript code looks very much platform-dependent to me, doesn't it?
