hello,

I had an old verion of cygwin, and it was ok.

I've bought a new computer, and so i've recently installed an newer version of cygwin (i don't know how to chek the version, it was on december 2006).

It's ok too, i've just one "problem", the cygwin bash is now without any colour (before it was) for example to list the files with ls, there is no colours...
And sometimes it opens in the ms invite command windows, whereas before it alwaysopened in a bash shell cygwin window

it's not very important, but somebody knows why ?

thank you

ls uses colors if LS_COLORS is set in the environment, which is done by
running dircolors.  If you are using the standard /etc/profile, this may
already be done for you - so it would be a good idea to investigate what
is (or isn't) being run at shell startup.  This can be done by running
'bash -vxli' from a cmd.com window in c:\cygwin\bin (or wherever you
installed), and you can compare the two installations to see what is
different.

Meanwhile, we aren't mind-readers.  Following these directions (including
the bit about attaching the output of 'cygcheck -svr' as a text
attachment) would help us help you.
