best current phone for verizon and bitpim?

What are the best Verizon phone models currently available which work best with Bitpim.  My only required need is to save SMS text messages.  If it doesn't work perfectly with that, I'm not interested.  Pics would be nice.  Would be nice to save the address book and move wall papers around, but none of these other things matter that much.

My family has the LGVX5400.  It’s not a highly technical phone by any means but it gets the job done and I can transfer pics and ringtones to it.  I believe I save their sms stuff too.
