booting / installing guest from CD-ROM?

Hi dudes. Im looking for a method for installing a VM with a CD-ROM from
source of installation (like a "normal" machine will do). I migth be
doing a wrong search, but i cant find a way to do it.

So, there is a prefered-suggested-allowed method to do that?
