Re: cakephp.org hacked?Sorry for that multithread. I did not see any related thread, when posting. The "RIP" Cakephp graphics still feels weird to me, even though it maybe halloween... But then, we don't celebrate Halloween over here! Re: cakephp.org hacked?Yeah its partially a halloween design. For everyone with their panties in a twist, it will be changed back soon. Re: cakephp.org hacked?Hmmm, I just don't like this "funny" theme. My first thought was "CakePHP gone?! Too bad. Let's check Code Igniter then". Serious things like frameworks should not try to be funny. I really can't promote a halloween framework to my colleagues. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CakePHP" group. Re: cakephp.org hacked?Wow people relax... We are a group of developers that enjoy releasing this framework and also like to have a little fun after all the talk of this project dying. This was a great in your face "We are still here statement".
Thanks for all your support... --

Re: cakephp.org hacked?I, for one, found the theme refreshing and relaxing. I was a bit uneasy after recent events; I am glad the developers took the time to make us laugh and smile. It reminds me why I chose CakePHP as my primary framework -- the community and developers have a sense of humor. Thanks for putting a smile on my face. =) On Nov 3, 10:49 pm, "Larry E. Re: cakephp.org hacked?I thought it was funny :)
Only remark is that the link 'Get me out of here' sounded like you would go to another site when clicking on it ... but that's just nitpicking :)

Re: cakephp.org hacked?I don't think seriousness has anything to do with a framework which saves you hours of work and had all of you 'baking', some for the first time. It's more about fun, actually.

Re: cakephp.org hacked?I agree with the "Let's just all relax crowd". Of all the things going on in the world, to complain about the developers of Cake putting up a fun and IMO very tasteful theme seems quite ridiculous. The bottom line is Cake never stopped running on my machine because the theme was changed. People didn't stop posting help on the forum, baking apps or developing the newest version for our benefit. If anyone did leave for CI or ZEND, they would have a leg up on others because of the vast knowledge that Cake provides. Rock on CakePHP!! I for one thank you!
