can't boot table-8 on HP Proliant DL580 G5

Hi,
        the boot stops somewhare after probing ata0, so far
playing with the BIOS (disabling stuff) does not help.
BTW, linux boots ok (except it has problems with IPMI)
So, any success stories there?
