can't see my Wordpress 2.8 sites with Firebug 1.4.3 and FF 3.5.3

I get a blank white screen when viewing my own Wordpress 2.8 sites
with Firebug 1.4.3 enabled.  The page never finishes loading.  But I
do get the source.  If I disable Firebug, I can see the sites just
fine.

Any ideas?

The firebug blog uses wordpress 2.8.4. I can open Firebug 1.4.3 on it
no problems.

Perhaps another extension can be blamed.

I get this problem aswell when trying to access wordpress admin pages
after using firebug
my configuration :
wordpress 2.8.4 ans 2.8.5
firefox 3.5.4
firebug 1.4.2 (can't install the 1.4.3 at all)
addons : delicious bookmarks 2.1.072, dummy lipsum 2.3.2, web
developer 1.1.8, java quick starter 1.0, microsoft .NET framework
assistant 1.1, pdf creator toolbar 1.0

disabling firebug fixes this
