can ODE simulate Multibodythank you for reading this text. I am new to ODE, and I want to use ODE for simulating a digger. My question is can ODE simulate Multibody? Below is a picture in wiki, this is just what I want to simulate. Can ODE do this? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/96/Slidercrank_animation.gif --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ode-users" group. Re: can ODE simulate MultibodyYes, you can. You want to simulate explosion or just a motorized rotation ? You can make both. It's the same system but compression explosion will be more difficult to stabilize. On 4 nov, 08:15, henry0henry <hhenry0he...@...> wrote: > thank you for reading this text. Re: can ODE simulate MultibodyI want to simulate stewart platform ,and some other mechanisms like that. In this kind of structure, all parts are connected by joints, forming a closed Mechanical Structural。 below is an example (a website link) http://define.cnki.net/WebForms/bigimage.aspx?l=http%3A%2F%2Fimage.cnki.net%2Fimagepath%2Fc%2Fsctc0301%2Fxald200203%2Fxald200203000%2F0001.png On 11月4日, 下午3时54分, HPx <harold.peign...@...> wrote: > Yes, you can. > > You want to simulate explosion or just a motorized rotation ? > You can make both. > It's the same system but compression explosion will be more difficult > to stabilize. > > On 4 nov, 08:15, henry0henry <hhenry0he...@...> wrote: > > > thank you for reading this text. Re: can ODE simulate MultibodyI'm using ODE to simulate more complicated structures, so it's not a problem. You only have to take care of objects mass. (don't attach a weight object on a light object) Be careful with the forces you apply on hinges, they should not be rigid enough to support the lever arm.
