I downloaded octave source and was wading through all the instructions
in the readme.mvsvc file. I got stuck on the file glob library and
couldn't find it. So in searching for that I found this post:
http://www.nabble.com/Configure-liboctave-for-MSVC-...-td24008999.html#

What a 2-fer! They dropped the can't do it anyway bombshell plus
would not publicly reveal the location of the glob library.

Is this true or isn't it? It would be very nice if you would correct all
references to this. The readme.msvc file is still there.

Certainly readme.msvc is still on the source package and the some of information is too old.
I think it should be removed from source tar ball.

Maybe it should be updated instead?

Michael himself have been working for octave development branch by MSVC complier.
Of course, if Michael will update README.MSVC, it will be desirable than be removed.

To be honest, I have no plan to update it. It's now unsupported and
should be removed to avoid confusing users.

Michael.
