canon sx110 preview problemsHi all,
I am attempting to write a program to use the sx110is as a tethered camera, with the --capture-preview being constantly polled to create an updating viewfinder image on a web page. Because it's not being used constantly I am changing the state of "capture", and this is where the problems are coming from.
From just being turned on it works perfectly, but as soon as i change the state of capture from on to off and back to on it breaks --capture-preview, and will only display an "old" image. If I then take a picture with --capture-image-and-download, it really breaks it. The image is downloaded perfectly, but attempting any more --capture-previews barf with:
*** Error *** Canon get viewfinder image failed: 767 *** Error (-1: 'Unspecified error') *** The only repeatable way to sort it is then to set capture to off, then back.
I have just tried 2.4.6.4 and that didn't make any difference. Is there anything I should be doing between state changes to sort this, or is it a bug? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial. Can you try libgphoto2-2.4.6.5.tar.bz2 ? http://www.lst.de/~mm/libgphoto2-2.4.6.5.tar.bz2 I think I fixed the viewfinder/capture thing just after 2.4.6.4.
