: Hi Guys, we are going to the Canton Fair and have our accommodation booked (!!), we will be flying into HK and plan to catch the train to Guangzhou so that we can stretch out a little more after the flight.
We are a little concerned about where we can change/convert some money when we land in Guangzhou. We will be stopping at the East railway and were planning on catching a cab to the Holiday Inn, but will obviously need some local currency to pay for it. I have read in a couple of places that you can only get Chinese currency in china.
Can we get it at HK airport?
If not, where can we get it when we get off the train and before we get a cab?

HK airport can make the money exchange.
Unless can exchange in Mainland China, A typical Chinese service center, usually have long queues of people so you might have to wait on line for a long time in order to change your foreign currency into RMB. Generally, you should be able to make cash advance from ATM machines, with service charge if you have international credit card or debit card. You can find ATM machines everywhere.
