cell card on vaio p

I have just installed 4.6 on a Sony Vaio P with the built in cell card,
however I cant find the cell card anywhere in dmesg or other(below is
dmesg, usbdevs and pcidump). I know the card worked under vista which is
what comes stock on the laptop. I cant seem to find any real specs on the
card online. As for specs, mostly just says "broadband built in"

Drivers for vista indicate this is a gobi by qualcomm device which
appears to be PCI Express Mini attached
I believe its the Gobi 1000 or Gobi UNDP-1 which appear to be the same
device

Why would i not be able to see this device?

Thank you,
Lawrence

Very odd.  This is a CDMA/3G/GSM/EVDO modem?

Normally they show up as PCMICIA, USB, or PCI Serial devices.

A lot of times the PCMCIA ones present a USB Host Controller which
presents a UCOM and UMASS (with the drivers).

I was just reading that the Cricket USB one has to have a special
GNU/Linux driver that switches it from UMASS to UCOMM for PPP:

Anyway, you may be a pilgrim on unholy lands.
