change password plugin

Gentoo 64-bit version, up-to-date stable,
squirrelmail 1.4.19,
php 5.2.10,
apache 2.2.11-r2,

I've tried to install password change plugin:

http://www.squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=117

It's requires at least 1.3 compatibility plugin. I have the 2.0.13
version of compatibility plugin which seems to be *completely*
incompatible with chage_passsword:

When accessing the 'Options' tab via WWW I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function
compatibility_check_plugin_setup() in
/var/www/localhost/htdocs/squirrelmail/plugins/change_passwd/functions.php
on line 28

I can change:

        compatibility_check_plugin_setup
to

        check_plugin_setup
in

        plugins/change_password/functions.php

but it doesn't help. I can access the 'Options' tab but numerous errors
when clicking 'change password arise.

Any suggestions welcome.

`but an updated version that works with 2.x is available from the
author' :-) Could I ask you, please? Thanks in advance.
