let's face it, chaotic is kind of a rip-off of pokemon.  They both have the capturing wild creatures element except that in chaotic the creatures are more like real people that animals.  But the main difference is that pokemon is stupid (sorry to all you pokemon lovers, I once was one myself) and chaotic is awesome

That is the Dumbest thing I have ever read. First there is no reason in the least to have made this thread you're only listing one similarity and they are two completely different ideas. I'm truly sorry but you are really a moron, you're calling something stupid just because you don't like it. I like Chaotic and I also like Pokemon and I'm sure a lot of others do too, but if you compare the fanbases of the two, there is an extremely huge difference in favour of Pokemon. I am disgusted that there are people who would even bother to waste their own time and the time of others just because they don't like something. Instead of making this thread you could've made a meaningful thread that discusses the game or show of Chaotic.

I agree with brawler. Just because you hate something doesnt mean other people dont like it either. Personally, i like Chaotic and Pokemon. It is not right to judge a show even when it isnt comprehended by the thousands of viewers that love the show. Chaotic and Pokemon are both unique shows. Although there are some striking similarities it is best not to provoke them until your really get to understand them.

Watch it Tom's goggleboy once and I plan to make him wear them again because the Chaotic code is going to cross with the fractal code of the Digital World. DigiChaotic FTW.

Yeah, don't dis Digi-Chaotic experience
Chaotic is more like Digimon, exept for the collection thing.

Hmm, I really need to get back to writing my own Tamers/Chaotic fanfic.

Chaotic barely compares to Pokemom.Yes,Tom has black hair like ash,but Tom Isn't all like,"I'm gonna be a master!".I enjoy both Pokemon and Chaotic. You saying that Pokemon Is stupid and Chaotic Is awesome makes you sound like a Chaotic fanboy. And I know some guys on another message board that despise fanboys,of any kind.Chaotic compares more to Digimon.Wich Is cool, because Digimon Is an awesome franchise.I also like YuGiOh aswell.I'm a nerd, and I'm proud of It!

Pokemon created an entire subgenre and spawned a cartoon, comics, TCG, toyline, spin off games, and much much more.

Its hardly stupid or childish in anyway, try stepping into the big leagues of Pokemon were EV training and competive tiers. See the true complexity that is Pokemon, don't disown it because the anime has taken a huge slump over the years.

As for Pokemon relating to Chaotic, I've seen alot of similarities in the two card games. They are both creature centered where the victory condition is based on how many creatures you have destroyed/have left (as opposed to Yugioh or Magic where its based on life totals). Both card games have exessive use of locations and the pokemon card game allows you equip your pokemon with cards to heal or assist them now (much like battlegear)

Ah but you said "now" as in recent. Chaotic NoN already had battlegear before equips. And yes i have to admit the destroy all your opponent's creatures is the common in both, Merlin P. Mann said "The game was quite popular for a while, but the ambition of turning it into a franchise like Pokemon was sort of put on hold" in his email to me.

So I think that one common victory condition is insignificant, the original devs were ambitious about making it big.

true and I do enjoy the slightly more orignal way of victory (as opposed to decreasing life totals). But when im explaining it to others I like to compare that system of victory to that of the Pokemon TCG, but looking at it now, Chaotic resmembles the World of Warcraft TCG more than it does the Pokemon one.

Tom loses more often, I like to see Tom's butt get owned as much as I like to see him win.

Also yeah Tom isn't ambitious, he just tries to get through (or endure and survive, if in Perim).
