conditional printHello,
I'm trying to use conditional print expressions in reports, with no success. Probably it's a matter of sintax, but I didn't find any example to understand why it didn't work for me. I attached a sample db, containing a little table and a very simple report linked to it. I'd like to make invisible each field when it contain 0 and visible with any other value. As far as I know, it should be easy to get such a result, but ..., it's not easy for me. Any help, please? Thanks in advance, Franco --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@... For additional commands, e-mail: users-help@... |

Re: conditional printHi Franco,
> I'm trying to use conditional print expressions in reports, with no > success. Probably it's a matter of sintax Well, "[Imponibile]<>0", in your example database, should do - it does very well in the conditional formatting dialog, so it can't be too wrong ... So, this indeed sounds like a problem with the conditional print expression. I took the liberty to attach a slightly modified version of your database to the newly submitted issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=105724 Thanks & Ciao Frank -- - Frank Schönheit, Software Engineer frank.schoenheit@... - - Sun Microsystems http://www.sun.com/staroffice - - OpenOffice.org Base http://dba.openoffice.org - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@... Re: conditional printHi Frank,
I just tried to open your attachment to the new issue, but the database includes one report, only. No tables, no queries at all. Perhaps did you use an external source? Re: conditional printHi Franco,
> still the same, that is official 3.1.0 , on WinXp Phh. Okay, let's get more concrete. You said "no tables, no queries" - actually, there should be exactly one table "Table1" (it's really the doc you sent in your original mail), and no queries. Can you connect, i.e. successfully select the "Tables" icon on the left hand side? What does the status bar say? Re: conditional printHi Frank,
no, when I try to select the "Tables" icon I receive an error message like this: Cannot connect to data source "i105724" General Error: org.hsqldb.lib.FileSystemRunTimeException:java.IOException: Ciao, Franco Frank Schoenheit, Sun Microsystems Germany ha scritto: > Hi Franco, > > >> still the same, that is official 3.1.0 , on WinXp >> > > Phh. Re: conditional printHi Ocke,
sorry, but for me it's not a good workaround; it can be acceptable for integers, but in case of formatting calculated fields as strings, you can easily get too many decimals displayed. I prefer to wait that it will be fixed.
