connect 2 comps so as to use net

Hi,
   I have 2 linux pcs, a modem with single rj45 port ,a crossover cable,NO hub..is it possible to simultaneously use internet using this configuration??Please help

I know a sh1t about Linux but I don't thinkthat can be possible ... You need a concentrator for both to use a common gateway or router, a crossover interface is not a network solution it's  just a direct connection. Who knows ? ...  Maybe Linux improve that concept, damn...
