contour and clabel still problems any workaround for labelling ?

Sorry for dup post I've realised that the correct list is this one.
I've still problem with a workaround for labelling a contour plot.
I've tried to use the colorbar but even if gnuplot put a space on the right of the window nothing apperears. I've tried to set pm3d implicit in the file as suggested by previous emails on the list but nothing changes.
Also everyother solution / workaround for having labels in a contour plot will be vry appreciate.
I've tried also jhandles but it seems that the problems are almost the same.
Any hint will be very appreciated.
