copying and moving node

Hi,
I have a requirement for copying ad moving node from one location
to another. Jackrabbit supports it via Session and workspace impl , but
PersistenceManager does not expose it .

Has such a requirement already been raised ? Or is this a new
requirement and needs contribution ?
